Xmas dinner party
It’s been a while. Last weekend we had a Christmas dinner party at 528. Chelsea and Brittany decided to cook everyone a wonderful meal and dessert. Everybody was in attendance except Seth, because he sucks. The evening was filled with good friends, good food, and jesus. And magic. I got to use my dining room as an actual dining room for the first time ever, which was nice and weird at the same time. Oh, and Pat forgot his benchmark.
Halloweekend 2010
This may have been the best halloween weekend ever. Friday night I attended Amy’s halloween party in Kent. Kent always seems to deliver, and like the previous two years, it was a great time being around the canfield crew again. And Craig was in a diaper. And it was 30 degrees out. Saturday Randall hosted a Halloween party at the Tharp House. Mike got a blumpkin, Smulski became a man, and Pat died and then came back to life Jesus style.
Also, i’ve realized and am now embracing the fact that this has become a micro blog. Suck it.
Labor day and Secret Life
Today we had a labor day and secret life GRAND FINAL season finale cookout. Our generous friend Randall Tharp hosted the event at the Tharp House. An assortment of delicious items were prepared and consumed. Adam brought his world famous salsa, mike grilled up some hot dogs and hamburgers, and there were cupcakes and brownies to enjoy. At 8:00 we all crowded around the television to enjoy the Secret Life season finale.
I, along with everyone else, was very dissapointed with the episode. There was no cliffhanger, no miscarriage, no extra pregnancies. Towards the end I was hoping that a building would explode or Ashley would show up naked, but none of that happened either. Wonderful day, terrible episode 🙁
We party on Tuesdays, too.
Well, it was Tuesday and where else would we be but Odonold’s. What a night it was. As usual, I sang Johnny Cash. We had a first-time appearances from Lee Yi and Ben decided to join in on the fun as well! Nick was pretty close to getting some old chicks number, she was really into him. We all had a good time, talked, hung out, and talked about 69 Other Pages. Oh, Kevin drank a lot. We went to Denny’s afterward and boy, oh, boy… was Kevin mean. We sipped hot chocolate, ate some fries, made friends, and rocked out.
The bled
Tonight we made a journey to Cleveland to see the bled, our favorite band of all time. The show started with a scene kid screaming words to shitty techno beats. It was awesome. The next band we watched was called Hemlock, and they were amazing. The singer had dreadlocks. Shadows fall style dreadlocks. Enough said. Another band played, and then finally the bled took the stage. Their set was everything I ever wanted in a bled show, except about ten songs too short. We yelled breakdowns and Seth carried James on his back. It was a wonderful night.
3rd of July
Well, a bunch of us from work decided to put in a fair amount of money toward fireworks this year. Simply, because we love explosions. On this beautiful day of July 3rd; Adam, Matt, Nayef, Lee and myself all went to Phantom Fireworks in Boardman. In a nutshell, we bought about $9000 worth of fireworks for this years festivities. We went back to Lee’s, played some basketball and ate some meat. Later, we ventured to a friends house to light these off. Everyone in the general crew came. We got through maybe 25% of the fireworks, then Tim’s dog ran away so we had to call it quits. We ended up leaving after searching for the dog, and guess where we ended up… Yep, Denny’s. We now have 75% of $9000 worth of fireworks to blow off tonight.
2nd of July
Last night was my parent’s annual 4th of July party. My parents usually go all out, so there were a massive amount of people, tons of food, fireworks, and a really shitty DJ. The DJ was so terrible that he didn’t even have any songs by Dio. The entire crew showed up and eat food and watched as my step father endangered the lives of many with his fireworks show. By the end of the night we all ended up on the back porch like always, enjoying smores with oversized marshmallows and the roaring fire.
At eight o’clock Saturday night I received a text message that would change my life forever. My phone vibrated in a nonchalant manner as if this text message was like any other unimportant text. The cruel irony is that I didn’t even feel my phone vibrate. The most important news of my life remained unread in my pocket for some time. I casually lifted my phone from my side pocket and saw the pending message. Somehow I knew the importance of the content before I unlocked my phone. With a terrifying sense of urgency I furiously entered my four digit pin and selected the messages app, the anticipation tearing at my heart and soul. The message was from Adam Magana. Sweat ran down my face and my hands trembled as i read the nine most important words i’d ever see. “Randy’s house at 10. Let’s get a party goin.”
Supernats 2010
Tonight was Supernats! Mike, Adam, Llama and I met up with Randy, Anne, and Alex down in Salem to make fun of all the shitty cars. It was just as I expected. It was about 10% nice cars and 90% rice and hillbilly trucks. We wandered around and laughed at all of the ugly cars and dumb people. There was also a festival going on, so we stopped and ate french fries. We then ventured to Denny’s and ate a bunch of ice cream. Alex posed for sexy pictures and Randy put on sunglasses and looked like a 40 year old Nascar fan.
